And first off, let's talk about that move. Patriots receive the 55th overall pick. Chargers receive 63, 131, 202. What do you think about the move?

Yeah, I think when someone like Chase Basantis, who I think was their number one guy kind

of going into day two was taken very early. I think the objective for the Chargers changed.

And that was, you know, if it gets to us, let's trade back and acquire some more assets because

they only went into the draft with five picks, which just frankly wasn't enough to fill all the needs that they have and build the depth that they're going to need for the season. So it made a lot of sense after sticking at pick 22 to be able to pick up a fourth round pick, pick up an extra sixth round pick. i thought they got quite a halt to only move back

eight spots they seemingly ended up getting the guy that they wanted uh at pick 63 anyways with the way

their draft room uh celebrated it but joe hortiz their general manager has been really good

hitting on some late round picks especially you know six round. So getting that kind of ammunition

with a guy that has a track record on hitting on some of those picks, I thought was a really good move.

Indeed. And like you mentioned, with Slaughter, a good pick at that 63 position because, hey, you've got a

guy coming in with only four pressures and one sack allowed in 2025 at Florida. But what are some of

the things that you like and what he brings to the table for the

charters?

I like the fact that I think he has the movement skill to play in the Mike McDaniel offense.

I do think that that was something that they showed us in free agency when they brought in

free agent, Col Strange from Miami to follow Mike McDaniel to Los Angeles.
