and the Chiefs traded corner Trent McDuffie to the Rams for the 2026th number 29 pick,

2026th round pick, a 2026th rounder, and a 2027 third round pick. So let's start there. Did you like those moves that actually led to the selection of Peter Woods? I did. I thought that the Chiefs needed to move on. Not necessarily because McDuffie's not a good player. he's great, but I don't think the chiefs can afford to pay a corner $31 million a year, which is what Trent McDuffie got on the open market. So to me, that move made a ton of sense because it freed up the cap space to be able to go do a couple of different things for them. And then obviously earlier tonight, you saw that the chiefs went and drafted Trent McDuffie's replacement with Trent McDuffie Light. I guess in some ways,

Mansour Delane. A lot of people are comparing Mansour Delane to Trent McDuffie, which is funny

1:21.2

enough. But I like how you mentioned that because you look at McDuffie and, of course, he's still that player.

But, yeah, Chiefs had to make a decision just in terms of looking at salary and deciding where they wanted to move forward.

1:35.4

And again, as you recall, as you called it out, they made a nice aggressive move to get his replacement.

1:40.8

And now this move, we talked about the things that the Chiefs did to put themselves in place to get her Peter Woods. But what about the actual selection of Peter Woods? Would you like about that selection? I think it's a good selection. He's probably a top three defensive tackle in this class, depending on who you're talking to. I think that he brings a lot of the ability to get after the passer. He's not going to be a guy that's going to eat a lot of double teams, but maybe he can grow into that. The interesting thing about Woods is he had a better 2024 than he had in 2025, but he's going to be playing next to Chris Jones. He's going to be playing next to a guy that he's probably going to eventually replace, if we're being

2:17.9

honest, because Chris Jones has probably only got a couple of years left in Kansas City.

2:22.4

So that's going to be something to watch as well.

2:24.3

But it gives the chiefs more interior pass rush, which is something they absolutely need.

2:28.8

Yeah, yeah.

2:29.3

And when you look at Woods just in terms of what the chiefs are going to need out of him. What are some of the things

2:35.0

that you look to see them develop for him this coming summer? Well, I think the big thing for him

2:41.0

is just consistency. Again, it goes back to his 2024 team, it's better than 2025. So it's a matter of,

2:47.1

can you get back to where he was being a little bit more dominant in 2025? He did play a little bit on

2:51.9

defensive end and defensive tackle. So he also gives you the flexibility to maybe move outside

2:57.1

in certain situations, which we know Chris Jones likes to flip in and out as well. So it gives you
