Senator Joe Manchin announced he has struck a deal with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

This is a major piece of legislation that they say would pay down the national debt, cut

healthcare costs, fight climate change, and battle inflation.

It is the product of secret negotiations over a package that until yesterday appeared to

be dead.

What a difference a couple of weeks makes.

With a little rebranding and some excellent timing, the inflation reduction act of 2022 has

sprung to life, slapping the GOP in their unsuspecting faces, and reigniting hope that Democrats

aren't just dithering idiots, but in fact masters of the game.

Public and South they want.

So yesterday, the Senate passed the computer chip bill called the Chips Bill, brought by

partisan support 64 to 33.
