Summary

Breaking Down The Highly Unprofessional & Cruel Delphi Police Interrogation Of Richard Allen With Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott
What if the only thing tying someone to a murder scene is a single unspent bullet—and the supposed match is based on science that’s barely admissible in court?

Tony Brueski and psychotherapist Shavaun Scott dig into the second interrogation of alleged Delphi killer Richard Allen, and it’s a rough watch. With no digital history, no witnesses, and no prior criminal record, the prosecution’s big move is a bullet found at the crime scene—but only after cops had already taken Allen’s gun. Makes you wonder which came first: the evidence or the need for a suspect?

Allen stays shockingly consistent under pressure, even when investigators start dragging his wife and daughter into the emotional line of fire. From manipulated family confrontations to outright lies about expert witnesses, the whole thing feels more like a psychological beatdown than an actual interrogation. How do you defend yourself when the system already seems convinced you’re guilty?

Is this justice—or just desperation?

I want to go into another clip here from the interrogation of Richard Allen. This is now the

0:12.3

second interrogation where, spoiler alert, eventually they do arrest him here. And this is a whole new chapter in this because between the first interrogation that

0:25.5

we watched in this one, they did get a warrant and they went in his house. And they took some

0:30.9

things out of his house, including his six-hour pistol. Keep in mind, a gun was not used in this

0:36.4

crime because they allegedly found a

0:39.8

bullet at the crime scene, one that they claimed matched Richard Allen's gun, but they're only

0:46.7

claiming that this matches his gun after they came into possession of his gun. I find this whole putting together the pieces of the puzzle and this order rather, rather interesting.

1:01.9

Number one, the ballistics way of looking at this sort of thing is not very sound science.

1:07.7

You can look into it.

1:08.4

It's not admitted in court very often, especially with an

1:11.0

unspent round. There's a lot of ways that that could be from pretty much any other gun,

1:15.4

especially when you have 40-some people trampling over this scene with guns as they're investigating

1:21.1

it might have the same bullet, very likely to have the same bullet somewhere that dropped

1:25.4

out of someone's gun if that even happened.

1:33.3

Are you finding it a little bit odd that, okay, so they have this bullet.

1:38.1

My thought was that it was somebody else's that dropped it.

1:43.7

But I'm wondering, you know, if they did find a bullet on the ground, they got his gun.

1:45.9

I go, oh, shit, he has a gun that actually fits this.

1:50.4

Well, let's run it through real quick.

1:51.9

There's your marker.

1:54.7

Oh, it's marked.
