And now the good fight with Yasha Monk. A few days ago the Supreme Court of the State of Colorado has disqualified Donald Trump from running for the 2024 presidential election, removing

his name from the primary ballots in this state.

Now, as listeners to this podcast will know,

I consider Donald Trump to be a serious threat to democratic institutions in the United States.

And I'm deeply concerned about the fact that he is currently beating Joe Biden in head-to-head polls for the upcoming election.

We are in a slow-moving train wreck in which we are watching as the accident is about to unfold and nobody

seems to be doing anything to avert the collision.

I am deeply concerned about what will happen over the course of this coming year.

So you might think that I would cheer on the Supreme Court of Colorado and yet I worry that this is not going to help us contain the threat of Donald

Trump. This is most obviously the case because the legal theory that was

used to disqualify Donald Trump is rather dubious. Seven out of seven of the judges in Colorado were dominated by

Democrats and yet it was a close ruling with four judges to three. By all accounts it is very likely
