Summary

This week is all about the Fed. Daniel joins me once again to discuss yesterday’s interest rate hike, and what stood out about Fed Chair Jerome Powell's comments… Prepare for a couple of rants on why Powell is driving blind… and what we need to see before stocks become cheap. I break down why the U.S. dollar will keep rising… and how this will impact the global economy. Bottom line, Powell is going to push stocks significantly lower. If you don’t have portfolio protection in place, this strategy is one of the best ways to play defense… and start profiting from a falling market. In this episode [Aim for 5 bullets max]: Daniel’s reaction to Powell’s Q&A [1:25] Why this market is unlike anything we’ve ever seen [3:25] A rising U.S dollar will cause a lot of pain [15:55] Powell is ruining all the bull market catalysts [23:00] How to protect yourself from a market crash [37:38] Enjoyed this episode? Wall Street Unplug looks beyond the regular headlines, heard on mainstream financial

0:06.4

media to bring you unscripted interviews and breaking commentary direct from Wall Street

0:11.5

right to you on Mainstreet.

0:13.5

Let's go out there, it's Thursday, September 15th.

0:19.2

Now Frank Kursch is just a Wall Street in public, so I break that headlines and tell you

0:27.4

what's really moving these markets.

0:30.4

So Daniel Creech, three days in a row, joining us, you okay?

0:36.5

Yeah, it's absolutely, it's been one of the better weeks in a long time, one, two, three.

0:40.9

Every day is Wednesday here, Frank Kursch, your research.

0:43.1

Yeah, well, usually I reserve Thursdays for interviews and for this week with the Fed

0:48.6

and what they're doing, I thought it was relevant where it didn't matter what anybody

0:52.0

said, who I was bringing on, I really wanted to talk to you about it because what the Fed

0:56.4

says and what to do, it's usually two different things.

0:58.6

But they basically said exactly what they're going to do.

1:01.2

I liked that they came out and said yesterday that they're going to be data dependent, but

1:06.2

also what was a shock to the system, which is why the stocks, stocks, you know, that went

1:10.0

up 300 points at first and came back down was he raised rates like his forecast for where

1:18.3

rates will be next year from, you know, people looking at 4.25 to, you know, 4.5, 4.6%

1:26.2

and he said they're going to stay there for the entire year next year, which is considerable.

1:31.7

And then I think people started digesting that and then said, okay, wait, that's just

1:34.5

not good.

1:35.5

It's not a good long time scenario.
