Ukraine's president lobbies the EU for more air-powered counter-Russia.

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky is in Brussels today. He's continuing to push Western

European governments to give Ukraine fighter jets. On Wednesday, he pitched the leaders of

the UK, France, and Germany. The journal's Lawrence Norman is at the European Parliament,

and he says time is important.

The president of Zelensky's trip comes at a time when Russia is beginning to make some

small progress in the fight in eastern Ukraine, and there are many broader expectations, including

from the Ukrainians, that Russia will launch a spring offensive aimed again, ground before

Western battle tanks arrive in Ukraine. So this is a crucial moment in the war and a crucial

moment for Zelensky.
