Boy Erased. Based on the memoir of the same name by Garrett Conley, the film tells the true coming of age and coming out story of Jared, who is viciously outed to his parents.

Pressured into attending a church-supported gay conversion program, he butts heads with its head

therapist and begins to find his own voice and accept his true self.

Boy Erased is Mr. Edgerton's second directing credit. His debut feature film was 2015's The Gift.

Following a recent screening of the film at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles, Mr. Edgerton
