| 0:00.0 | My boss's entitled Psycho-Wife treats me like garbage all the way up until the day that I quit, |
| 0:05.1 | where she demanded that I delete my administration account that was incredibly important to the function of this company. |
| 0:10.8 | But as a result, everything came tumbling down as her job and reputation quite literally went down the drain. |
| 0:16.4 | Here's what happened. |
| 0:17.4 | Okay, so 15 years ago, I worked at a gas station as an opener. |
| 0:20.5 | Because I was young and |
| 0:21.8 | somewhat tech savvy, I was also the de facto IT for the three stores near me and had been |
| 0:26.8 | heavily involved in setting up a new point of sale system for their two most successful stores |
| 0:31.2 | when they were swapped from one gas brand to another. The company had also made me super admin |
| 0:35.9 | on all registers just for ease of transition. And trust me, this will be important later on. Now, it's important to know that the owner's wife had been awful to me for the two years that I worked there. I got bumped to opener by her husband, and she hated having a man be an opener. Historically, every single opener was picked by her, and they were a woman. But her husband came and fired the previous opener for theft, while the two of us were swapping shifts. So, I guess you could say I got a field promotion of sorts. The wife was constantly scrutinizing everything that I did, constantly calling me in the mornings to be rude and berate me for a bunch of minor things that I did wrong. She would say stuff like, you use wet wipes on the area around the drink machine. I want you to use paper towels and spray. But the thing is, is that we were out of paper towels and the spray we had smelled like a hospital anyways. One time, she even said, I came in your store last night, and there were three rows of Snapple Apple. And you could probably increase sales by putting one or two of those rows to a different product. But it's like, are you kidding me right now? The Snapple fridge was 100% handled by the vendor, and we'd signed a contract that we wouldn't change the layout of the product. So basically, to summarize, she was awful to me because I was a guy. I also was the person who set up their point of sales system because I was somewhat tech savvy and I was |
| 1:44.5 | made a super admin on the registers that they had. Well, fast forward and I was desperately looking for work, |
| 1:50.0 | which is when I found a temporary IT job, which then led to my current career. And since I got a new job |
| 1:55.2 | offer, I gave her husband two weeks notice, but never told her because I did my very best to avoid |
| 2:00.4 | talking to her unless |
| 2:01.4 | absolutely necessary. Well, when she did find out, it was Tuesday of my last week, and she |
| 2:06.4 | legitimately lost her mind. She gave me a ton of stuff to do, and worked me to the bone until |
| 2:11.1 | 2 o'clock p.m. on the last Friday I worked. But finally, the time to depart forever came |
| 2:16.0 | along, and she personally came with an office worker, and stood by me and asked me to delete my account from the register. Now, I knew I was a super admin, and I had been told that if I ever left, I need to convert the account. And she had been told about this, but had long forgotten it. So I just said, you know what, screw it. I complied, and then I went to the other store and did likewise while she watched. And this is where my revenge truly takes place. I then go about my life |
| 2:39.2 | and I start my new job and I end up about three weeks in when I get a frantic voicemail and like |
| 2:44.1 | 20 text messages and calls from her. I called the office worker who stood over my shoulder with her |
| 2:49.2 | and I got the scoop. She basically couldn't change any prices at all when new beer or soda prices started rolling out. And her new opener had just let it all pile up because she didn't know how to do it. And they were going to have someone come in and train her. They had a bunch of items, five or 10% below the price they were supposed to be at, and margins on cases of beer are low, |
| 3:08.2 | and this was completely destroying their profits. Once I thought it over, I texted her and I said, You asked me to do this, and it's on video, and I have three witnesses. Namely, the person she had me training, the person I swap with, and the office worker who two weeks later had quit the company. I then found out later that they |
