0:23.7 | information. Thanks so much again for taking the time to give that five-star review. Now let's get |
0:30.3 | started. Welcome everyone. Today we are talking about boredom. Parents of my clients often tell me that their children are always bored. I hear that. I've definitely heard the same thing from my kids, especially when they were younger. And if you've ever told your child that you wish you had the |
0:56.3 | opportunity to be bored, you would not be alone in that, I'm just saying. And if you've given |

2:03.9 | bored and that is really hard for them. So instead of getting frustrated with our kids or students, |
2:12.2 | let's look at the reasons behind the boredom. Let's look at this is an opportunity for learning and see how we |
2:21.2 | can better support them. Again, remember, their board is not the same board as neurotypical kids |
2:28.4 | experience. Of course, every child is different. So we'll be doing an overview of both ADHD and autistic children and why they get so bored. |
2:41.5 | First, let's start with ADHD. |
2:44.4 | Number one, kids with ADHD can struggle with attention and focus in a big way. And they may find it really hard to |
2:53.7 | stay engaged in activities that call for sustained attention. So when their attention drifts away, |
3:01.2 | which could be within seconds, it could be within minutes, boredom can set in fast. |
