Hello Dreamers and welcome to this latest bonus collaboration episode. I have a guest host

today from the mysterious circumstances podcast. You have heard him here on our show several

times before. He is Justin Rimmel. Full disclosure, we recorded this conversation about this case

late at night, especially late for him because Justin is on Eastern time and I'm on Pacific

time. So he's three hours ahead of me and he didn't even get home from work until sometime

after 11.30 pm. And while we did hit most of the important points in this story, there

are times when we get ahead of ourselves and by the last 30 or 40 minutes, you can really

start to hear it in our voices that we are both about to nod off. And I started sounding

tired and raspy, but we made it almost all the way through. I did have more notes that I wanted

to go over. I had no idea though that this episode was going to go this long. In order for

our meandering sleepy ramblings to make a little bit more sense, I'm going to go ahead and give you

a brief synopsis of the case ahead of our discussion. And then I will play the recording of our

conversation for you after that. On the evening of May 31st, 1995, a woman using the alias

Jennifer Fairgate checked into a luxury hotel in Oslo, Norway. Three days later, she was found

dead inside her room of a single gunshot wound to the middle of her forehead. Oslo authorities

ruled the death a suicide, mainly because she was found alone. There was no indication that she

was with anyone, nor was there any indication she was ever in the company of anyone else while she

was there at that hotel. And she died behind her hotel room door that generally needs to be locked

or can only be locked from the inside. But there were other signs that this may not have been

a suicide after all, that Jennifer may in fact have been murdered. If that was the case, then we

have a whole bunch of other questions starting with why. Why was she killed? And if Jennifer

was murdered, who did it? And the biggest question of all, it's the biggest mystery that's been
