Hello, Dreamers, and thank you for stopping in for another casual bonus episode of

Killophonia Dreaming. This one is going to be a vacation series because for a

couple of weeks I've been trying to figure out this case that we're talking

about today by listening to a podcast or two about it and I think I found a

special on date line recently but I don't know if it's the information or the

episodes or if it's just me I'm not I'm not really able to put it together

right in my head. I'm all mixed up and it's the story has become so

disjointed and complicated and I'm just getting lost. Most likely it's me but I

started looking around on the internet and jotting down some key names and

important dates and I guess the best way for me to understand a story is to put

together a chronology and make it into an episode for myself so I figured why

not might as well. This is a story about a once-powerful South Carolina family

known as the Murdox. For people who are from that particular part of the state

of South Carolina they've likely been following this story since maybe

February 2019 perhaps even before that. There's at least one podcast out there

oh no no there's two there's one that I liked more than the other. They're

local journalists they've been following this case and from the very beginning

for quite some time and I'm in the middle listening to one of the podcasts so

hopefully all of this information isn't too redundant I am going to try to tell

it in my own way but honestly I really just wanted to know more about this

story so let's dive in and try to figure out what the heck is going on here with
