Quarter Deke. Quarterdeck podcast is the evolution of my show How I Think About Sailing,

rebranded to coincide with the launch of our new member platform, also called the quarterdeck.

Since launching in October, we've grown to over 150 members, all of whom want to learn and discuss the many aspects of seamanship with the goal of becoming better sailors offshore or inshore

We do weekly text chats on the platform, semi-regular live session video chats, we just did one on self-steering earlier this week, and we regularly post new seamanship scenarios, whereby August and I tell war stories from our times on the high seas, where things didn't exactly go as planned.

After describing the situation, we asked the members to debate what they'd have done in the same circumstances.

Then a week or so later, we do a live debrief to talk about what went right, what went wrong, and if we did the right thing in hindsight.

All of our live sessions are recorded and archived on the platform for members to look at anytime they want to.

These seamanship scenarios are a great way to tell some fun C stories while taking a learning experience from it.
