Money is kind of a famously difficult topic to tackle.

But I have found that when you just break it down,

you really only need to follow a few main rules to live a fairly healthy financial life.

If you got to spend less than you make, you need to build up an emergency stash,

set aside money for retirement, invest that money and protect this world that you're building

so that a disaster, a big one or a small one, doesn't have the ability to take it all away from you.

Which all sounds pretty simple, right?

But we know that the reality is a lot more complicated.
