The following is Canon. For those of you who don't know, I'm Virgil Texas and we

are Chappell Trepow's. Most of the time we are your everyday run-of-the-mill arts

and entertainment podcast. But once in a blue moon we delve into the occult,

indulging in a session of the tabletop role-playing game Call of Cthulhu,

based on the works of HP Lovecraft. And like HP Lovecraft, Matt Will and Felix

here roleplay as 1920s investigators who are incurably racist neurotics. Over the

course of their adventures they matched wits with the immortal Hermeticis

Johann Pidessta at the summoning of the Pizzagate. They foiled the mad monk

Rasputeen and his eldritch allies infiltrating American elections. And they

scuttled industrialist Inak Musks Rocket in Musks of Nyarlathetep.

Tonight's scenario is a prequel to the events of tabletop game theory episodes

one through six. And I did not write this scenario. Mr. Corbett was authored by

Michael DeWolf and published in 1990 by Chaosium in the excellent collection

Manchins of Madness. I have merely made a handful of alterations to the

scenario to reflect the ethos of our program. It must be stated that

absolutely, positively nothing in this scenario is based on real events or

real people. With that in mind, let's play Mr. Jeffsteem.
