Sometimes being in the gun media you get to go to some fun events at some very interesting places.

So this week on the gun talk podcast we're actually doing this

interview from a castle. That's right a castle. It's Greystone Castle and I'm with Ducks Unlimited on an event and with me here is James Powell James how you doing?

I'm good. Thanks for having me on.

So James explain to people Greystone Castle. This place is unbelievable.

Greystone Castle is like a piece of old world Europe, taken out of Europe and sat down on a 6,000 acre ranch in the Texas

northern end of the Texas hill country. Yeah a little over an hour from

the Dallas Fort Worth area.

Yeah.

And so we're here, we're doing kind of a mixed bag of all kinds of stuff.

We're, let's see, we shot Sporting Clays. We did an Upland Bird Hunt, Chucker, Fesen, and Quail with some nice dog work,

he said some pointers and also an English cocker who was a rock star and then this morning we did a duck hunt got on a

mixed bag of ducks and then this afternoon we're going to go after some hogs.

So you know for people who've never been to a place like this, how do you explain it?

You know, it's, you know, it's like you could call it a high-end hunting lodge, but it's so comfortable and casual and there's so much hunting opportunity here

It feels like just out in the middle of nowhere Texas. Yeah you've got you know big white tails

running around you got ducks on stock ponds you got these mixed bag upland hunts it's

it's it's you know you hate to overuse the word sportsman's paradise, but it kind of feels like that when you're here.

And being at Texas Ranch, they have the exotics as well, I guess.

They do, yeah, that whole separate area for that.

So, you know, talking Ducks Unlimited and what you guys are up to these days.
