As we enter National Foster Care Month this month, what better time to imagine and reflect together on how we can continue to support our nation's foster care community effectively? In this bonus episode, I take some time to reflect on the last 10 years and share a little bit of what we're dreaming about here at The Forgotten Initiative!

| 0:56.0 | Someone recently asked me, so what have the last 10 years been like? |
| 1:01.1 | And obviously, that's a huge question. |
| 1:03.5 | But I have pondered this, and there are so many memories that creep into my mind. |
| 1:09.2 | I remember first learning about foster care and talking to my |
| 1:13.0 | parents and my husband, of course, and my dad specifically. And I remember him just saying, |
| 1:19.8 | Jamie, I think this might be bigger than you and your family. Like this was when we were processing |
| 1:24.2 | do Clinton and I become foster parents. And he was so right. |
| 1:29.3 | My family has been forever changed by foster care, |
| 1:32.2 | but so have I in this whole ministry journey that God has taken me on. |
| 1:37.6 | I remember coming up with the name, the Forgotten Initiative, |

| 1:43.2 | We were, I had spoken at a conference and at that conference, |
| 1:48.1 | they gave me the topic of the forgotten in our communities. And I was specifically talking about |
