Hi, this is Tom from zero to finals.com. Welcome to this bonus episode where I'm going to be going

0:13.7

through something completely different, which is my thoughts on how to learn medicine. I'm thinking of

0:19.4

starting a completely new YouTube channel and podcast all about how to learn medicine. I'm thinking of starting a completely new YouTube channel and podcast

0:22.8

all about how to learn medicine and this is one of the episodes which is here for you to

0:29.5

sample to see whether you like it. If you do like it, do get in touch with me and let me know

0:34.3

you'd like to hear more. If this doesn't interest you or it's not

0:38.2

helpful for you, don't worry. The next episode will be back to the normal scheduled medical

0:44.3

topics and we'll be starting all over again with medicine with updated guidelines and more

0:50.4

1:28.6

where they can come back and reference it later or review that information later on. So the note taking

1:35.0

is a way of storing that information externally somewhere to come back to later. And the third reason

1:42.0

is that making notes makes them feel like they're doing something.

1:46.9

So sometimes it can be difficult to know what to do when somebody says, go and do a study

1:52.5

session. And making notes is a way to feel like you're doing something and at the end of three

1:58.2

hours or four hours studying in the library, you feel like you've

2:01.3

achieved something. So those are the three reasons I think people would give for why they make notes.
