this has been a crazy news week, and I haven't done a live here in just a couple weeks.

I'm excited to be back. I'm sorry in advance for the scratchy voice. Those colds are going

around, and I've got one of them, but there's a lot to break down today. And I think this story

of the De Justin Baldoni, Blake

lively competing lawsuits and just Hollywood in general, crisis PR firms, Me Too, sexual harassment,

all of this, I think the point that has not, I have not seen being made, but I think that

absolutely needs to be made, is that all of this

could be avoided, or 99.9% of it could be avoided if we did some dramatically different

things and how we approach entertainment as a country. So I'm going to unpack this in today's

live, share my take on this and why I think it's important. Quick content warning.

All right, so lots to unpack here, but I wanted to start with the latest allegations coming out of these huge controversy that is engulfing Hollywood right now. You've probably seen the headlines, but to give you the quick rundown, Blake Lively had a huge story out in the New York Times just a few weeks ago where she was suing, along with Ryan Reynolds, her husband, her co-star and the director of the film that she was just in called It Ends With Us, and she was suing him for sexual harassment, as well as retaliation against her for being concerned about sexual harassment by trying

to quote unquote bury her and destroy her reputation in the news media.

So you guys might have heard of this big news article from the New York Times.

We can bury anyone inside a Hollywood smear machine.

And since private messages detail an alleged campaign to tarnish Blake Lively's reputation

after she accused Justin Baldoni of misconduct
