noise we're looking at some of the news stories that have been around the stock

market and the world in these past six months and what they might mean and whether they're important to investors.

So the first one I want to talk about,

is just been going on with Iran this past few weeks.

So just a couple of weeks ago, there was an oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz that was attacked and led to conflicts with Iran.

The next day after that, Iran shot down a US drone, which has led to increase tensions.

President Trump has announced that he's going to drastically ramp up sanctions

against the country that's led to increases in oil prices.

Is this news or noise should investors be paying attention?

Totally noise.

If it's not North Korea in vogue, then it's Iran or Russia.

So noise for me.

It feels like news, but this is admittedly a story

that I haven't followed super closely.

I mean, we've talked, you know, an editorial quite a bit about oil dependency and oil independence.

And so I think that this is a situation where it's probably good that the energy industry in the United States has ramped up over the last couple years.
