Today we're catching up with one of radio's funniest couples George Burns and Gracie Allen,

the Straight Man Supreme and his zainy wife with her own unique blend of illogical logic.

We'll hear a pair of shows starring George and Gracie,

starting with an episode from February 19th, 1948.

Gracie gets some wires crossed during some dream interpretation with her psychiatrist,

and she becomes convinced George shouldn't make any decisions.

For her, that includes using the phone to make a killing in the beef market.

Gail Gordon, alias Mr. Conglen on Our Miss Brooks, plays the Burns Texan friend Mr Judson,

the man who comes to George with this hot cattle tip, and Hans Con Reed plays Gracie's doctor.

Then in a show from November 11th 1948 it's the Burns 15th wedding anniversary, but Gracie's worried that George forgot.

He's actually planning a surprise anniversary dinner, but when she's afraid she's losing her man, Gracie decides to introduce some children

into the household and fast.
