Summary

On this week’s episode of The Waves, Gerry visits the hometowns of the last 3 women standing on The Golden Bachelor.  Unlike hometown dates in the past, Gerry isn’t meeting the parents. Instead, he’s getting to know the women’s kids and their grandkids. But it doesn’t make the hometown dates any less cringe. Slate Senior Producer Cheyna Roth and Dating While Gray host Laura Stassi recap the episode. Podcast production by Cheyna Roth and Vic Whitley-Berry with editorial oversight by Daisy Rosario and Alicia Montgomery. Send your comments and recommendations on what to cover to [email protected]. 1:14.3

Honestly, I usually check out for hometowns when I'm watching any of the Bachelor iterations.

1:20.7

I hate hometowns.

1:21.8

I find them so cringe.

1:24.3

The typical idea of like getting a father's permission to marry someone that you

1:29.5

aren't even sure if you want to marry and making the meeting of the family into this big

thing. I mean, I just, I don't like it traditionally. And honestly, I didn't like this.

1:41.2

I kind of hated it. But for different reasons in this episode, like the cringe factor is still very much there,
