And so today I'm going to be talking about the upcoming election here in the U.S.

I know that we have listeners all over the world, and so not everyone is in the United States,

but what happens in one major country often affects other countries, and so I feel like

this is also not just about the election, but about what a lot of people who have been

involved in cults or who study cults have noticed cult-like tendencies of

the followers of a particular party, a particular leader here in the U.S.

This is not a partisan talk.

This is really from a perspective of a cult specialist, and it's more about psychology.

So I hope you don't hear it as me putting down one

candidate over another, but it is true that a lot of people are really triggered by Trump and the

way people follow him. And I've received many calls over the years about that.

That's what I have to go on.

And so that is part of what we're going to talk about.

So as many listeners know, in the past year,

we've been focusing more intently on the harmful theology

inherent in the growing threat of Christian nationalism. And part of the reason for that is

its rising visibility in the broader American culture. There have been so many powerful exposés
