Summary

The officer called out to identify himself, but there was no response from behind the closed door. He tried to open it but was met by resistance. After managing to wedge the bedroom door a few inches, PC Francis saw the body of an elderly man on the floor. Blood and brain matter were pooling around his head. 1:07.4	Shortly after 930 PM on October 30th, 2021, police officers were called to the scene of a disturbance at a four-bedroom semi-detached house on Chelmsford Road in Southgate. P.C. Francis from the Metropolitan Police was met at the front of the property by an elderly woman who directed him to a bedroom upstairs.
