Hey, everybody, welcome to the first ever bonus episode of the show.

Let me explain what I'm going to do with these. Maybe once or twice a month, I don't know with what explain what I'm going to do with these.

Maybe once or twice a month, I don't know with what frequency. I'm going to do extra episodes.

Over and above, the five-day-a-week show I'm already doing, occasionally I'll do an extra episode,

but it'll be on a topic that's a little bit off the beaten path. And if you're thinking,

well, this isn't what I was expecting when I signed up for the Tom Wood Show as a subscription on iTunes, well, then you don't have to listen to this one. I'll have the word bonus in big letters, and you'll know it'll be something a little unusual. So, for instance, I have a friend coming out with a book on progressive rock. And I know not everybody's interested in that, but I am, and I'd like to do an episode on that.

So that'll be labeled bonus, and you'll know you better scrutinize this episode a little more carefully before you tune in.

Well, in particular, I'd like to talk to successful entrepreneurs and people with great products and services that are helpful for entrepreneurs in the same way that I talk about people who have

great books that are helpful for libertarians to understand the world better.

So one of the topics I'd like to talk about is what you can do to monetize your online activity,

whether it's a blog or a podcast or whatever, what can you do to monetize it?

And I know that with my audience, nobody's ashamed of earning money here. Nobody hangs a hammer and

sickle in his house. There's no problem with that. We have no moral problem with earning money.

And particularly from earning money doing something you're doing already and doing something that

gives you pleasure. And even if you have no success at all earning money doing something you're doing already and doing something that gives you pleasure.

And even if you have no success at all earning money from it, it gives you pleasure in other

forms that aren't monetary. And blogging is one such example. Most blogs don't earn any money,

and most bloggers don't care. They're happy to blog or they earn other types

of satisfaction through blogging. But it is possible to monetize a blog, just not the way most people
