One aspect of making true crime podcast that's always really bothered me is the impact

that sharing these stories has on those who live these experiences.

Sharing trauma and grief with the world is painful.

And this season in particular, I've thought a lot about how sharing these stories

impacted the children of Jordan Rasmussen and Buddy Booth.

It has been extremely difficult for them, but also

cathartic. Some of those involved haven't heard all the episodes and some may

never listen. But all so far are grateful they have participated, and I think as you listen to True Crime Podcast,

it's important to remember that these are not characters in a story. They are real people

who've generously opened their lives and their hearts to strangers because they

believe there is something valuable to be learned by sharing.

This episode you're about to hear was a bonus episode with Jordan Rasmussen's oldest son, Dave.

We've decided to put it in the main feed because it was so powerful.

And we hope others will learn something from Dave's willingness to talk about childhood trauma with a therapist as part of this season's podcast.
