All right, something that Kyle asked us right around the trade deadline with everything going on with the Sixers, would you maybe reach out to the Los Angeles Clippers and see what's going on with Kawhi Leonard?

Well, Kyle, Derek, got a report this week that that's exactly what happened, where Darry, president of basketball operations for the

Philadelphia 76ers, did in fact peek around and inquire about Kauai Leonard.

Now, we know that Darryl Morey likes to go star hunting as well.

And so, Kyle, just to start with you, because it was something that you threw it, Derek and I,

when we were having this conversation at the trade deadline on our special trade deadline show.

And we agreed that that will be something that makes sense in that moment of, yeah, make the call.

What do you think?

Well, I think if they could have done it, it would have been great

assuming that the tree planting scandal that has been hanging over Kauai in the clip for his

all season is not going to get him banished from basketball. And again, just to be clear,

Kyle, the scandal isn't that he was planting trees in case you weren't following me.

Do your research on that. Shout out to Pablo Tori on all the reporting that he's done there.

But look, Kauai this season has been back to one of the best players in basketball.

He's averaging 28 points a game, six rebounds a night, close to four assists, two steals a game,

almost 50% from the field, 38% from three on seven attempts per game.

Like anything you look at says this is close to, if not at the level of Apex Kauai.

Maybe not quite as athletic.

Maybe not quite as good a defender,

but offensively as good as he has basically ever been.

So of course you have to ask the question.

Of course you have to make the phone call.
