There's so much we could do.

I want to start because you have a new book,

and folks who watch the TV show will recognize you from being on the beat,

but this is an extra deeper conversation that I'm happy to have,

and I would wonder if you would do me the honor of just reading the rule you cared most about,

which you write in your new book.

Rule number five, which I've just marked right here.

Because you talk about as a fashion icon and then the work you did,

how you took some of your ideas and your attitude from the street and applied

it in your fashion. And so my question is, would you be willing to read the passage that begins,

where you fly? Where you fly? Flyness wasn't about how handsome you were, although that helped, or about how expensive your clothes were, although that helped, or what brand they were, brands weren't important.

It was about something intangible. It was about style and how you carry yourself in the street.

It was about your shoes, the way you wore your hat.

It was about your car, the way you drove it, and how fly girls dress. It was also about taking

some new fashion risk that everywhere else on the street would be copying.
