Yeah, but what got me into this, I really started as a researcher at the University of Arkansas

where I did my PhD in their Department of Education Reform, and I exclusively, or basically

exclusively studied school choice programs

and did papers, peer-reviewed articles on these programs when I was there. And my first study,

which really thrust me into the national conversation, looked at the Milwaukee Parental Choice

Program, one of the longest standing modern day private school choice programs in the country.

It started in 1990. Well, my co-author and I got a hand of the longitudinal evaluation data,

student-level data, and we were able to track these students using the program compared to
