some virtually and some in person.

It's stressful and uncertain, even more than usual for back-to-school season

So this week we're going back to Madison

Everyone's favorite old-time radio high school

and we'll hear a pair of comedies from Our Miss Brooks.

Now I know we've heard a lot from Eve Arden and her co-stars during these bonus shows, but for my money our Miss Brooks is one of the best sitcoms of the era and one that still holds up today.

By largely avoiding topical humor, and because sadly, jokes about poor pay for teachers still resonate,

it's one of the most accessible radio comedies for today's audience.

And at a time when we could all use a few extra laughs,

more Miss Brooks is never a bad thing.

On Sunday's 400th episode of down these mean streets, I played the shows that introduced me to six old-time radio detectives.

And so today, I wanted to share my first episode of our Miss Brooks.
