On July 29, 2019 (the day after the birth of my son!), host and producer Danielle Monroe posted this interview we had recorded the week before for her podcast "Artists of Camberville." 0:20.7	I'm here today with the host of the Lonely Pallet, Tamar Abyshai.
0:25.3	Tamar, thank you so much for being here.

0:37.0	So, Tamar, tell us a little bit about yourself and how
0:39.6	you got started with us. I finished a master's degree in art history in 2008, and that is when
0:47.6	I had a total, you know, reckoning as to whether or not I wanted to keep going in art history. And I had put it
0:56.3	away for a while and the economy tanked and I started working at a finance firm and I was teaching a lot.
1:03.0	I was still teaching art history. I was really keeping my toe in it and loving the teaching part
1:08.6	and having a really good relationship with my students and,
1:12.6	you know, but the life of an adjunct is no life at all.
1:16.6	And I was still doing that alongside my day job.
1:20.6	And in 2011, I met a whole bunch of public radio people.
1:34.4	I was introduced to them by a dear friend of mine who actually, I mean, talk about going straight to the top.
1:36.2	I mean, she worked for this American life.
