Arias of Alexandria, it's really hard to pin him down to anything, and that's why Arias of Alexandria, it's really hard to pin him down to anything.

And that's why Arias can be everything to everyone.

Most of his writing didn't exist.

Part of it is a lot of it was burned by Athanasius of Alexandria.

He was the big bishop of Alexandria. And part of it was that because Arias didn't

win, his writings weren't copied anymore. So we don't have a full copy of Arias's book. The book was

actually called the Talia or the Thalia.

And he has a confession of faith even in there.

The only thing we really know about that book is that it was really extensively quoted and then refuted.

That was a common rhetorical method back then. You'd quote something

from somebody else and then say how you refuted it and then quote another piece. That's actually,

there's a really interesting book against Selsus. I think Origin wrote that. Yeah, I think he did. Celsus was a big pagan thinker, and he wrote this

anti-Christian panegyric, which it doesn't exist in its entire form today, but they have a big

chunk of it because Celsus is full of it because of X, Y, and Z.
