Oh my goodness, the Never Say What You Can't Do video. Wow, this is taking it back.

This is taking it back as far back as it can go. So I think I was what, like 19 or 20 when I did

this video on YouTube. Backstory, I had a full ride scholarship to Howard University on engineering

and I got bitten by the entrepreneurial

bug because Lisa Price, the founder of Carol's daughter, came on campus and talked about her

entrepreneurial journey and I was like, OMG, I don't want to be an engineer anymore. I want to be

an entrepreneur. So I was trying to start this hair care business. My grades plummeted. I ended up losing my scholarship.

And I was like, oh my goodness. And I remember sobbing and boohooing on the phone to my mom. And she was like,

girl, toughen up, basically. Like, are you kidding me? She was like, you know that there are women who are

getting their degrees, who are single moms with with three kids, working two jobs, like,

never say what you can't do.

And she gave me kind of this, like, rally the troop speech.
