Summary

Crowdstrike, the firm that accused Russia of stealing DNC emails in 2016, has made a bombshell admission. In newly released Congressional testimony, Crowdstrike president Shawn Henry said that "we did not have concrete evidence" that alleged Russian hackers actually took the emails from DNC servers. "There's circumstantial evidence, but no evidence that they were actually exfiltrated," Henry said. Aaron Maté breaks down Henry's testimony and why it adds new doubt about the core allegation at the heart of Russiagate.

1:23.1

He basically admitted that his firm CrowdStrike has no evidence that alleged Russian hackers

1:30.7

actually took anything from the DNC servers that they allegedly hacked into.

1:36.5

And the reason why that's so important is because this allegation that Russian hackers stole

1:42.0

emails is at the heart of all this.

1:43.9

And Sean Henry, the president of CrowdStrike, is admitting that CrowdStrike actually

1:48.8

doesn't have any evidence.

1:50.0

It can't pinpoint when or even whether alleged Russian hackers actually took data from

1:56.5

the DNC service.

1:57.4

I'll read you what he says.
