We're in the series Body of Evidence,

where I share stories of crimes that were solved

and the perpetrators convicted

even when the victim's body was never found. In this last episode,

all detailed the story of two women both murdered, or believed to have been murdered,

by the same man. Both had thought they'd met the man of their dreams and married him, but would later

find themselves living a nightmare with an abusive, possessive, controlling, and cruel

husband. Both would end the relationship only to find that the real nightmare was just beginning.

One would be found dead under mysterious circumstances.

The other would go missing, never to be seen again.

It would appear that Drew Peterson would get away with murder twice, but would ultimately be brought to justice due to a surprising twist.

This is Chapter 3 of Body of Evidence, The Disappearance of Stacey Ann Cale's life was marked by tragedy even before she was born.

Her early years would prove to be no less marked by a continued set of losses for which there

seemed to be no explicable reason. Born on January 20th 1984, Stacy's mother

Christy Marie Cales would be eight months pregnant with her when she would lose her first child in a tragic house fire.

Her older sister, Jessica, whom Stacy would never know, died at just two years old before she could be rescued when the

Cale's home caught on fire.

Just weeks later, Stacy was born.
