I think this brand really encompasses how I feel about just overall self-care.

I think we focus so much on like facial skin and just, you know, all the products that

are out here for just facial skin care, we never talk about body care and body care includes

so many areas, right, our body and just trying to not only take care of them, but then utilizing

what we can to feel well overall. So without further ado, I want to introduce you guys to the

co-founder of Barefoot's line test, Jen Thompson. Welcome to show Jen. I'm so excited to be hosting you.

I am so excited to be here. I'm a big fan of your podcast.

Thank you so much. I'm a big fan of your brand. It's a wonderful brand and I know it's

one of the brands in the portfolio. Overall, you have, I think, a few brands, right, in the main

portfolio. So Barefoot's scientist is definitely a heavy hitter for me. I know that our whole team at

Skincare Eric, he really enjoys it and I can't wait to dive into the actual brand itself, but

first Jen, I would love to learn about you and your background and your career, what really led up

to creating such a wonderful line. Sure. Well, I'm currently chief brand officer at

JAPANASK. And as you mentioned, we have a portfolio of products. JAPANAS started as a

beauty tools company under the JAPANAS main's namesake. And since its beginnings in the 80s,

we have built a portfolio of brands that were all female-founded and in still large part with

my self-unbranded innovation. Leaders are like our supply chain female and a large female team.

Still are largely female-led. We also have the original makeup racer as part of our arsenal.

And Barefoot's scientist was our latest edition that we brought into the fold last summer

from Dana Ward. So Dana Ward started Barefoot's scientist in January of 2019,

making a company of an inspiration she actually had several years before to feel better about

her feet in order to feel better about her whole self. She started Barefoot as a single product
