How did it start and what was the moment when you realize like I can really do this?

Well I think it first started on a dare. I was in high school. I went to an all boys Catholic high school

in Berkeley, California.

I'm born and raised in Oakland.

And a dear friend of my Umoja Faraha

dared me and a couple other friends to audition for the school play which at the time was the whiz.

And I auditioned, played like, you know, one of the crows, the wing monkeys, all that kind of stuff like that, and just had a ball.
