Number one, the interview. Former Attorney General Pam Bondi heads to Capitol Hill today for a closed-door

interview about her handling of the Epstein files. The House Oversight Committee, you'll remember,

Republicans, Democrats alike. They have spent months pushing to question Bondi about the Justice Department's botched release of the files which she oversaw.

Over to redactions, under redactions, victims' identities revealed, and more.

A bipartisan group of lawmakers originally it's subpoenaed Bondi for a formal deposition.

Then, when Trump fired her as Attorney General last month, DOJ argued that she could no longer appear in her official capacity.

And Bondi won't be under oath today, but let's be honest, making false statements to Congress is a crime regardless.

This big moment also comes amidst a personal battle for Pam

Bondi. She revealed this week that she's been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and is recovering

from surgery. Bondi also is preparing to take on a new role working for Trump, an advisory

committee focused on AI policy. Number two, the containment unit. Kenya's highest court says not so fast, stepping in and stopping the U.S. plan to establish

a quarantine facility for Americans.

The facility was supposed to open today.

The temporary halt now comes amid a wave of backlash from Kenyan doctors and even the U.S. CDC officials over this unusual

Trump administration move. The plan was to send any Americans exposed to Ebola to the 50-bed

unit on an Air Force base about 125 miles outside of Nairobi. A few dozen U.S. public

health officials had already been sent to Kenya to staff it.

Sources now tell CNN, the CDC director has advised against this. For one, the U.S. has spent

years developing specialized treatment facilities in the U.S. for this exact type of containment and quarantine.
