podcast. I'm your host Matt Addison with Paul Gorse, Ian Doyle and

David Lynch all with me this afternoon. Seven Reds players might be away at the

World Cup at the moment, but we'll be focusing on events on Merseys

with Julian Ward and then Ian Graham two men key behind the scenes at Anfield being

revealed earlier in the week as being out of their way at Liverpool on Thursday.

First things first, of course,

it was a shock to hear of the departures of both of those people.

Seemingly a shock to people at Liverpool as well.

What have you made of this story

and how big a story do you think this is potentially?

Yeah, it was certainly a shock, wasn't it,

to people at Liverpool. I I only informed them just before the World Cup

started and the full of made great efforts to try and get them to reconsider and

it was to know avail.

So the news came out yesterday and around about lunch signed

and the people I've spoken to and I don't know

he spoke to a couple of people as well.

And I think the key theme of it is just how surprised everyone is

really you know people who even kind of worked in duty most departments have expressed a

little bit of shock of how it all, how quickly it's come to pass.
