I've always been interested in old cemeteries, especially from the 1800s.

My mother's always talked about the value of being able to visit family from long ago.

I really like looking at the old headstones and seeing how close the plots are together.

Often wonder if the people there were affluent because their headstones are really large,

or why some might not even have a marker at all.

Often, loved ones have visited before me to leave flowers or trinkets,

even for people who have been gone for hundreds of years.
