We're going to take a breath for a rejection today, you know, the hardest part about rejection

is the type where you know you showed up as your best self and you were still pushed

to the side.

No, you know, if we did something negative or completely out of character that we could

identify with, then we would have a reason, some closure to our rejection, but when you

show up with the best of intentions and still get rejected, that is hard to digest.

For anybody, you know, it becomes personal and all fingers point back to ourselves.

What is wrong with me?

Did I do something?

Am I not good enough?

And we go down this downward spiral, but there's a few simple truths that we need to address.

One we simply won't be everyone's flavor.

You know, I've met really nice people, genuine people, but just didn't enjoy their energy.

They simply just weren't my cup of tea at no fault of their own.

You know, I always would consider myself to be like sashimi.

You know, sashimi is one of those dishes.

You know, you love it or you hate it.

You know, everyone's not going to enjoy it.

It's not the best dish to serve at a dinner party if you don't know everyone likes it.

It could be a hit or miss.

We're talking about raw fish here.

And you may just be like sashimi, some will love you and some simply won't.
