This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Freeway Phantom killings, at least when they

concluded.

They went on for 29 months, 24 to 29 months, depending on where you call the end of

the last victim.

We had six to seven victims, all young black women, all sexually assaulted, what really

stood out for me when we were looking at this project was this was an unsolved serial

killing crime in the nation's capital.
