The Rahirat's Prince is birthday.

It is, in fact, June 7th, day 12 of 12 days that shook the goddamn world.

Rahirat once again, the Regpruc smartest man in the world podcast takes place and spends itself off into the ether this time from the salubriest confines of the Purpose of Rutitude located somewhere in Eric Garcetti's LA.

My name is Greg. Hi Jennifer. Hi. We could pop up in container. I wouldn't call it Eric Garcetti's LA. No, I wouldn't either.

This has been the most extraordinary two weeks I can think of. Well, since last week when you were recording the podcast, I was writing to you passing notes to you that there are buildings on fire in our neighborhood and police were firing rubber bullets and all through the ox away.

But the podcast you could hear helicopters and police sirens last Saturday the world was on fire in LA. I'm glad to report that this Sunday was work while we're recording this things are a lot more quiet. And it's a big function of they lifted the curfew two days ago.

The curfew gave every police force in the United States free license to have a police riot for a week and whip us on everybody and it's a real sad state of affairs.

People didn't have the ability to take public transport home. They were stranded. LA is really spread out. It's kind of difficult to get around. And so if you're caught out after curfew, you could be arrested.

It was so senseless. It doesn't take into account all the quote essential workers, also all the healthcare workers. The people who have to take a public transportation home, the people have to get an Uber or a cab or whatever.

You're all to send your suspect of just because you're out on the street trying to get home. Yeah. And email. We've also finally got to something that we've been needing to reckon with for 400 years in this country.

And that's that the police force is the giant as vestige of the slave patrol in the slave state and that their mere existence was to keep black and brown people down with deadly force.

And now we're all having to reckon with that one more time.

It was an interesting timing that we discovered the new the new Los Angeles budget and how many services for the homeless education, healthcare were going to be minimized and the police department was going to get another boost.

Oh yeah, over a billion dollars. Yes, the LA budget is gigantic. It's several billion dollars and the cops get over a billion dollars here. So after a fantastic week and we'll get to the fun stuff right away.

We're after after the first three days of the police riot here. The LA city police commission decided to have an open YouTube discussion where people got to zoom in and talk for a minute or two minutes.

And how long did that go for Greg eight hours. And so they got lambasted. There was some amazing comments. I see you sit there chief aren't complete police chief in Los Angeles.

Believe it or not. It's named Michael Moore. And he retired to get huge severance packaging and was brought back out of retirement to be police chief again last Saturday.

Jennifer and I watched him on television be interviewed. And the reporter said to him on a local TV station here. What's going to happen tonight at the protest. And he said that's up to the community.

And then it wasn't up to the community. The police tried to kick as much ass here on the populace as they could for about five seven days.

There are articles just I mean it happened all over the country, but there are articles just detailing the number of reporters and photo journalists who are brutalized by the police just on that weekend.

You would object to that in any international condition. And American reporters were shot and their hundreds all of the country.

And what I mean shot I mean shot with a bullet's bean bags clubbed one reporter blinded and her left eye.
