Because honestly, people will hear the term black capitalists and they're like, oh, that's

oxymoronic or that's contradictory. Capitalism isn't for black people. It's only ever, you know,

created harm and violence within our community. It's not for us.

Rachel Lardier, she is the author of the brand new book, Black Capitalist.

I'm Rachel Larrier, author of Black Capitalists. My mom, she immigrated to the States from Ghana back in the 80s, you know, really in

chase of this kind of American dream.

She always made it very clear to us that, you know, failure is not an option.
