Mighty John Collins today, John moved from Celtic to Monaco in one of the first major Bozeman transfers. Don tells us how when he got there

he witnessed the beginnings of a future superstar. A kid called Teerie-on-Ree.

Tered out well, didn't it? Well, I was come at the end of my contract that Celtic, I signed two, three-year deals.

I've seen the first one out, signed a new three-year deal.

And the final year of my contract, I made the decision that it was time for a new challenge.

I was 28 years of age and I've been in Scotland

playing first team football since I was 17 and I was going to make a move. Well my

agent at four minutes is Monaco want to fly over and talk I thought wow that sounds exciting.

One French football was a good standard. True. Technical. Ball played on the grass

which is the way I like to play it.

Monaco obviously a beautiful place and a beautiful climate.

It appealed to me. I've got to be honest I didn't know too much about Monaco and the players.

Actually I didn't know any of them.

So, but I knew they were always

pushing for the league top three four clubs in France and when I went over to

talk to him I liked what had Mr. Tugana had to say to me the first thing I asked the coach,

the most important thing at that stage of my career I wanted to play Central midfield.
