Hello friend, I'm Marcy Farrell from thankfulhomemaker.com and I'm so glad to be with you today.

It's been a little bit, I took a little bit of time off this summer and I'm still going

to continue that after this episode, but this particular episode just kept coming up

and it's one of my favorite reminders, so I wanted to pop in the middle of your summer

and share it with you.

It's a quick bite-size episode, so just enough for you to get those dishes done or fold

that little laundry or maybe you could just grab a cup of coffee and sit with me a bit

and I love that.

So our church just started doing a recommended book read and the book recommendations are

coming from the elders and my hubby took this first round, so it simply works for our

church that we, it's optional, but we read the book on our own and then there is an optional

dinner and book discussion that we're going to hold at our house here in early August.

But my Doug's book, pick, was one of my favorites that I haven't picked up for quite a bit

and it's called The Discipline of Grace by Jerry Bridges.

Trusting God by Jerry Bridges is probably my all-time favorite read, if you've not read

it yet, I highly recommend that one too.

But The Discipline of Grace holds a pretty strong second place for me.

And the title of this episode is taken right from Mr. Bridges' book.
