Bitcoin is in panic mode. How is its largest corporate holder micro strategy reacting?

Bitcoin remains in panic mode after a difficult weekend that saw the largest cryptocurrency

by market cap plunged to around $74,000, erasing $800 billion in market

value since its October peak. The selloff has pushed Bitcoin out of the global top 10 assets,

with prices hitting levels that have not been seen since the tariff tantrums of April 2025.

Major catalysts for the tumble include geopolitical tension between the U.S. and Iran,

massive liquidation

trap that wiped out $2.5 billion in leveraged bets and a test on safe haven assets that sent

gold and silver slipping alongside crypto. Despite the carnage, heavyweights are stepping in. Justin's

Sun has pledged up to $100 million to buy the dip, and Binance is deploying its $1 billion user protection fund

to put a floor under the market.

For a brief moment this weekend, Michael's Saler's strategy was underwater.

Bitcoin's drop to the mid-70,000s pushed the price below the company's average purchase

cost of roughly $76,037 per coin.

While the firm faces no immediate risk of forced sell-off,

the dip has flipped its stock from a premium to a discount against its Bitcoin holdings,

making it harder to raise cash for new buyers. Despite the paper loss, the company isn't flinching.

Strategy purchased another 855 Bitcoin last week for $75.3 million and is sitting on over

$2 billion in cash reserves. And Senator Elizabeth Warren is demanding congressional hearings after a

bombshell report revealed a crypto deal between the Trump family and the UAE's spy shake.
