listened to their podcast, and they have just started a new, fantastic and very topical for the season,

Thank you so much. To have you guys on to talk about Taylor is going to be amazing because over on

your Patreon, you guys did this almost like two-hour review of the tortured poets department.

And I listened to it all the time because everything that you said was just, I don't know, Sammy, I'd love to hear about your Taylor Swift background, but I know for Emily and me, you know, we've been fans for a while and then things have started to kind of sour with Ms. Swift. Tell us a little bit about your background throughout like the lens of swiftism all the way at the beginning to now.

Yeah. I mean, I wasn't really into country music. It just wasn't in my like cultural experience. So I wasn't really

clocking Taylor until like 1989. And then I was a fan for that. And then I would say

reputation made me like a huge fan.

And then Emily and I both went through our folklore and evermore obsession together.

And I even really liked Midnights.

And yeah, it just kind of all went off the rails at about the same time as her breakup,

tortured poets department, her hard left turn on advocacy.

Now she's like anti-advocacy, it seems.

Yeah, so I would say I'm a disgruntled former fan.

Yeah, I think that makes a lot of sense. And I think a lot, especially within the past week, are people who would probably use that label for themselves as well. And I was reading this review. You know, I've been reading all of these reviews of the album, so I forget which one it was. But they were saying, for some albums, they were like, you know, everyone loves folklore and evermore. So good. And I've been

re-listening to it after Showgirl dropped. And once again, it's so good. And they were saying,

while Midnight seems a little lackluster and tortured poet seemed a little maybe fake intellectualism,

showgirl is really the only album that seems like straight up offensive to a lot of people with how bad it is.

And that's certainly something I felt where I'm like, I can't listen to this because

I, it's working, it's making me feel nasty about her. And then I go back and I listen to Marjorie
