When the Bible talks on mystery Babylon.

Yes, I have, Gary. A book out on it called Apocalypse Road and a very fascinating debate

DVD I recently did with Joel Richardson. And it's some of the more difficult aspects of Bible

prophecy to understand. But we're going to take the viewers into the depths of it today in this program.

Well, you know, there are a lot of mysteries in the New Testament.

The word mystery recurs.

And the mystery is usually defined as something that was previously hidden but is now disclosed.

In the case of mystery Babylon, it may still be something of a mystery to us because the full

force of mystery Babylon is yet ahead of us.

Correct. And it's like I said, it's very difficult to understand the passages related to

mystery Babylon, which really primarily takes us to Revelation 17 and Revelation 18. And it talks about

this dual system, a double jeopardy that mankind hits after the rapture, a religious system primarily in Revelation 17, and then a commercial system in Revelation 18.

And it's centered around a city. We find this great city shows up in both of these chapters. And because it is difficult prophecies

to understand, you've got five primary theories on where that city is centered. You know,

of course one of them is rebuilt Babylon, Iraq. One of them is New York City of America. One

of them is Jerusalem. Probably the more popular view, the one that I hold to, is Rome.

And then the newest, latest one that we've come up with is Joe Richardson's put forward

one of being Mecca in Saudi Arabia. So I think the fact that there's five different

candidates cities tells you that it is the difficult area of Bible prophecy to understand.

Well, let's talk about Rome and then kind of get into the details of Mystery Babylon a little

later.
