| 1:11.0 | But how did you guys get connected and how old were you and sort of how did you know this sort of powerhouse of guys come together to create a company that would then launch careers that would be epic in the tech industry? |
| 1:23.0 | Well, I had gone to college with Peter Teal with both graduate from Stanford. We had actually been on the sort of conservative leading student newspaper of the Stanford review. |
| 1:32.0 | We both been editors of that. |
| 1:34.0 | And so Peter recruited me to join PayPal at a very early stage. I ended up becoming CEO of the company. |
| 1:41.0 | Okay, and did you when you first started it, did you know it was going to be a blockbuster or was it like, yeah, we'll give a shot. |
| 1:47.0 | You never really know. I mean, I thought it was a great idea. This idea that we could email money. I thought that was sort of a killer idea. |
| 1:54.0 | And we sort of focused on building a great product to do that. |
| 1:58.0 | So I always on a certain level, I believe that it would be big. But at the same time, you never, I didn't, didn't I know that it would be a whatever $200 billion public company today. |
